Hello, my name is Christine Golden
I have been providing web design and development services for others since 2008, and have always created my own business websites. I use the best standards of the day, validating every page and using coding practices that ensure your website is accessible, searchable, and easy to load, whether on a desktop or mobile device.
I am an experienced project manager and a natural science geek, as well as a technical geek. My college education is in Zoology and Biochemistry. I have studied and made a living in stormwater pollution control and environmental land use planning. Today I use my skills, experience and talent to contribute to the natural environment by helping people like you develop and manage your internet resources.

Education
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and a graduate education in Biochemistry, both from USF in Tampa, Florida.
I am a consummate learner and have taken a multitude of classes on subjects that include writing, various computer software programs, and, in my previous life, land use planning and stormwater pollution prevention. Most recently I completed Design Concepts, a six-week course on formal design elements and principles geared mostly towards web design. I am currently studying PHP, a programming language for websites.
Since March 2010, I've been an active member—and now Co-organizer—of the Meetup.com group Sacramento Web Developers. I've learned a lot from my colleagues and have given a few presentations, myself.

Work Experience
Officially, I started doing freelance web design and development in January 2010.
Before that, I have over twenty years experience filling various roles in the construction and land development industry: project management, marketing, publishing, and technical writing. Over the years, I've worked for small businesses and I've been self-employed. In 2008, I completed the Land Use and Environmental Planning program at UC Davis Extension. I am now working freelance from home in rural Yolo County, California.
